Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American actor, voice actress as well as a director producer and singer. In addition to being a beautiful and intelligent actress, Lucy Liu serves as a role model for numerous Asian actors working in Hollywood who wish to make it big. Following a string of early performances in popular shows she achieved fame when she joined the cast of the legal comedy show Ally McBeal where she played the malicious Ling Woo. The new fame she gained was translated into roles that were filmed on the large screen, in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and several other films. In Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave a stunning performance as Japanese crime boss O-Ren Ishii. In the meanwhile, she was also in leading roles in several box office failures such as Rise: Blood Hunter. Then, she was an actor in voice in animated films, including Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's part in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen movie, did not bring about the results. Southland - a critically acclaimed crime drama - helped establish her as a leading actress. Liu takes great care in choosing her roles to ensure she isn't a victim of stereotypes. While she's extremely proud of her culture, she does not let that limit her creativity.
