Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson (born April 14, 1970) is an American actress, singer, writer and director. Her most well-known character is Tara Maclay, in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In addition to that she's directed, produced and performed in her own movies Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also acted as the bride in the Kiss the Bride movie. Benson was born to a psychiatrist as well as the wife of Diane Benson, was born in Birmingham Alabama on January 8 1977. Danielle Benson is her artistic younger sister. Benson, whose father is Jewish while her mother is Southern Baptist was raised in an Alabama Reform synagogue. Benson was a part of Morganville The Series and in The Killing Jar since Buffy's end. Behind the camera, she used her writing abilities into her Ghosts of Albion series and directed on projects like The Killing Jar in 2010 and Drones.
