Kari Sam Wuhrer was born April 28, 1968 is an American singer and actress. She began her acting career when she was just a teen. She is most known for her character Maggie Beckett on the TV series Sliders as well her role as her character, Sheriff Samantha Parker, in the horror-comedy film Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer was raised in Brookfield Connecticut as the daughter of Karin Noble, who worked as a payroll clerk, and German American Andrew Wuhrer. There are three of her siblings. In her teens She performed in nightclubs when she escaped from her home. Kari Samantha Wuhrer, an American model and actress was born in Brookfield, CT on the 28th of April 1967. As a teenager, she performed in nightclubs by slipping away to do so. Kari was first introduced to acting in Wooster School aged 13 and then went into drama school at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Columbia University Marymount Manhattan College as well as the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art under the renowned Uta Hagen. Kari began her journey into acting at 13 years old, and received her big break in 1987 on MTV Remote Control.
