Her family was raised in Mill Valley in California. She attended Tamalpais High School 2007 in Mill Valley. The couple divorced in the early years of her childhood. Barbaro started to dance when she was a child and continued to learn ballet. She graduated with a degree in dance at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, New York City while enrolling in electives for acting. When she graduated in the year 2010, she chose to study acting and relocated to the San Francisco.There she was at in the Beverly Hills Playhouse acting school
